Lion Biosciences, IBM Offer Hosted Services for Drug Developers

NEW YORK, Oct. 29-Lion Biosciences and IBM will jointly offer hosted computing services over the Internet to drug development companies, the two firms announced today.


The Lion applications and content package, including SRS and Lion DiscoveryCenter, will be paired with IBM software and hardware. IBM will manage the sales and co-direct the marketing for the service.


Beginning in January, the service will be offered by subscription through IBM's e-business mechanism in the United States, Canada, Europe and regions of Asia.


The financial specifics and subscription prices of this joint offering were not revealed.
