Lark to Supply Genomics Services to Gene Logic

NEW YORK, March 28 - Lark Technologies of Houston said Wednesday it would provide services to support the development of Gene Logic's full-length clone database, CloneExpress.

Lark's services include genomic data management, microarray support, quantitative PCR, genotyping, genetically modified organism testing, and additional molecular biology services.

Lark, which did not disclose the terms of the deal, did not say what specific services it would be supplying to GeneLogic of Gaithersburg, Md.

"This agreement represents a significant opportunity for Lark and demonstrates our ability to provide a variety of services to meet the needs of leading genomics companies such as Gene Logic," said Doug Wheeler, president of Lark Technologies. 

GeneLogic currently has 15 pharmaceutical and biotechnology subscribers to its databases.
