Japan s MediBic Alliance Takes 10 Percent Stake in Strand Genomics

NEW YORK, Sept. 16 (GenomeWeb News) -- MediBic Alliance, the investment arm of Japanese company MediBic, has acquired a 10 percent stake in Strand Genomics of Bangalore, according to news reports in India.

Financial details of the deal, which was reported on Sify.com, an India-based financial web portal, were not disclosed.

MediBic, a life sciences consultancy, and Strand last month announced a partnership to jointly develop and market informatics products to pharmaceutical customers in Japan and provide consulting and customization services in genomics, proteomics, clinical studies, predictive ADME/Toxicology, and other research and development areas.
