NEW YORK, Oct. 2 – The International Rice Research Institute has purchased a GeneTAC Biochip System, Genomic Solutions, the developer of the microarray system said Tuesday.

Genomic Solutions said that the IRRI of Los Baños, Phillippines plans to use the system as part of its plans to establish a new microarray facility. 

The IRRI said that the facility would help to further researchers’ understanding of rice genomics.
