Ipsogen Names Hertzberg President, Beery to Head Invitrogen's Global IT Efforts, and Exosome Appoints Execs

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Susan Hertzberg has been named president of Ipsogen and VP of corporate business development for Ispogen SA. Hertzberg previously was GM of global accounts at Abbott Diagnostics, and she was VP of purchasing and materials management and VP of marketing at Quest Diagnostics. Hertzberg also has payor experience leading ancillary services contracting at Oxford Health Care and managed care contracting at Quest.
 

 
Invitrogen has appointed Joe Beery to be head of its global information technology efforts. Beery has 25 years of experience in information technology strategy and implementation, the company said this week. Beery formerly was US Airways’senior VP and chief information officer. He also was CIO at America West, and he worked at Motorola Semiconductor and at NV Philips.
 

 
Exosome Diagnostics has hired Wayne Comper to be chief scientific officer and it has named Tom Tsakeris to the post of director of regulatory affairs.
 
Comper formerly was CSO of AusAm Biotechnologies. Tsakeris was president of Devices and Diagnostics Consulting Group, and he was director of the Division of Clinical Laboratory Devices, Office of Device Evaluation, Center for Devices and Radiological Health of the US Food and Drug Administration. While he was at FDA Tsakeris was involved in developing the implementation strategy for the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988.
