NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Safety and quality services provider Intertek has tapped PerkinElmer to provide it with lab instrumentation, PerkinElmer said today.

The "preferred vendor agreement" covers all of PerkinElmer's analytical instruments and related reagents, and is valued at "several million dollars," the company said.

Intertek provides lab testing, consulting, cargo inspection, and certification services for several industries, including pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, petroleum, and consumer products.
