Last year’s Futures Initiatives conference, hosted jointly by the National Academies and the WM Keck Foundation, had as its theme “The Genomic Revolution: Implications for Treatment and Control of Infectious Disease.” In a call for proposals released at the meeting, more than 100 participants were invited to compete for seed funding.

This year, the initiative announced recipients of those grants. The 14 research projects funded by the Futures Initiative were selected for their diverse approaches to the infectious disease front. The list below shows award amount, participants, affiliations, and titles of the projects funded.
