Shares in Illumina closed down 7.5 percent for the week ended Tuesday, due mostly to a jury’s finding earlier this week that the firm had infringed five Affymetrix patents (see related article). The company led all decliners in a down week for the BCW Index and US stocks, in general, which dropped sharply on Tuesday.
