Illumina Sells a BeadLab Installation to France s Genotyping Center

NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (GenomeWeb News) - Illumina has sold one of its BeadLab genotyping systems to France's Centre National de Genotypage, the company said today.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Illumina's BeadLab is a production-scale SNP genotyping laboratory. CNG is a part of the France's Consortium National de Recherche en Genomique.

On Jan. 27 (click here to read the GenomeWeb article), Illumina reported fourth-quarter revenue of $10.7 million, compared to $3.9 million for the fourth quarter of 2002, a rise the company attributed to the sale of two SNP-genotyping BeadLab systems during the period.
