Hitachi, SeraCare Extend Distribution Pact

NEW YORK, Aug 12 (GenomeWeb News) - SeraCare Life Sciences today announced that its Genomics Collaborative division has extended a distribution alliance with Hitachi High-Technologies through 2006.

 

Under the extension, Hitachi will continue to distribute SeraCare's GCI Access products and services in Japan. The agreement includes SeraCare's Global Repository, a database of over 600,000 clinically annotated DNA, RNA, snap frozen tissue, and serum samples collected from more than 120,000 patients with conditions such as breast, ovarian, prostate, and other cancers, as well as autoimmune, infectious, and metabolic disorders.

 

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
