Health Discovery Completes Fractal Genomics Acquisition

NEW YORK, Jan. 2 (GenomeWeb News) - Health Discovery announced today that it has completed its acquisition of San Francisco-based bioinformatics company Fractal Genomics.


Fractal Genomics founder Sandy Shaw will become vice president fractal technology of Health Discovery as part of the deal.


Following the acquisition, Health Discovery plans to work on developing new protocols for use with Fractal Genomics Modeling software and begin validation studies on a set of leukemia genes discovered with FGM, the company said in a statement.
