Genomic Solutions Amends PerkinElmer Distribution Deal

NEW YORK, Jan. 10—Genomic Solutions has amended its distribution deal with PerkinElmer Life Sciences, the company said Thursday.


Under the new agreement, PerkinElmer will have non-exclusive rights to market and distribute all Genomic Solutions products outside the U.S. and Japan, and assumes non-exclusive distribution rights worldwide for Genomic Solution's Investigator proteomic electrophoresis products. the company's GeneTAC HybStation, and all Cartesian Technologies products.


The two companies have had a comprehensive sales, distribution, and technology alliances since December 1999, when PerkinElmer made an equity investment in the company. After settling a lawsuit regarding that equity stake in spring 2001, the firms expanded that arrangement.
