June 13: CHI's Beyond Genome meeting in San Franciscowill touch on bioinformatics, proteomics, systems biology, genomic variation, and RNA interference.

 

June 15: Applications due for RFA-HG-05-013, NHGRI's program to study the K23 mechanism using genomic or proteomic technologies.

 

June 15: Applications due for RFA-AA-06-002, NIAAA's program to identify biomarker signatures for alcohol consumption. Applications for the related program, RFA-AA-06-001, are due July 15.

 

June 19: The annual meeting of the Biotechnology Industry Organization will be held at the PennsylvaniaConvention Centerin Philadelphia. Among the celebrity speakers will be Melissa Etheridge and Arnold Palmer.
