Genome Explorations Wins $830K SBIR Award for Biomarker Research | GenomeWeb
NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Genome Explorations has received an $830,000 Small Business Innovation Research grant from the National Institute of Alcohol Abuse and Addiction for alcohol-related biomarker research.
The company said it will use the Affymetrix microarray platform to develop “more sensitive and informative” biomarkers for chronic alcohol use and alcohol-induced organ damage to enable early detection of pathologies related to alcoholism.
