NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Genetix today announced that it has acquired analysis and data management software firm SlidePath for undisclosed consideration.

Genetix said that the acquisition will complement its offerings in the digital pathology market. Specifically, the Hampshire, UK-based firm said that SlidePath's products will complement its Ariol platform, which is a digital imaging and analysis solution for quantifying biomarkers in tissue sections and tissue microarrays.

SlidePath will continue to operate from its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
