Franek Lines up Distributors in Central and South America, Caribbean

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - Franek Technologies said today that it has signed up two new distributors for its lab protection systems in Central America, the Caribbean and South America.
 
Franek makes uninterruptible battery backup power sources for life science, diagnostic, and pharmaceutical companies.
 
Through one agreement, BioArtis Healthcare Corporation will distribute Franek’s products to the in vitro diagnostics markets in the Caribbean, Central America and in Mexico.
 
In addition, Corporation Cientifica Venezolana will distribute Franek's systems in Venezuela, and will support both PerkinElmer and Applied Biosystems products.
 
Franek said the two agreements should help expand its market presence in these regions, where the power conditions are "unstable at best."
