FMI Licenses Genedata s Expressionist Software

NEW YORK, March 2 (GenomeWeb News) - The Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, a branch of Novartis Research Foundation, has licensed Genedata's Expressionist computational system for gene-expression analysis, Genedata and FMI jointly announced last week.

 

Expressionist, which Genedata launched in February 2004, is a bioinformatics tool that integrates proteomics and transcriptomics data into a single environment. The Basel, Switzerland-based FMI said that it will use the system for its research in epigenetics, growth control, and neurobiology.

 

Financial details of the agreement were not provided.
