Fisher Scientific Snaps Up Dharmacon for $80M

NEW YORK, Feb. 12 (GenomeWeb News) - Bio-research supplier Fisher Scientific International will acquire RNAi provider Dharmacon for $80 million in cash, the companies said yesterday.


Dharmacon provides small interfering RNA technology and products. The company expects Fisher Scientific to maintain its facilities in Lafayette, Colo. Its shareholders will receive cash for all outstanding shares and option.


Fisher expects the acquisition, which has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies, to close by the end of March.
