Falco Biosystems to Market MRC-Holland s Reagent Kit for Genetic Analysis

NEW YORK, July 14 (GenomeWeb News) - Falco Biosystems said Monday that it had agreed to distribute MRC-Holland's proprietary reagent kit for genetic analysis, the companies said yesterday in a statment.

The kit, called Salsa MLPA, is specialized for the detection of large gene mutations, the companies said.

Falco Biosystems said that it expects the distribution deal to generate $180,000 in sales for FY 2006, and $900,000 for FY 2008, and that use of the kit will be limited to research and laboratory purposes, "for the time being."

The companies did not disclose further financial details of the transaction.
