Expression Analysis Offers Affymetrix Microarray Genotyping Services

NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (GenomeWeb News) - Expression Analysis said last week that it has expanded its pharmacogenomics testing services to include genotyping using Affymetrix's Centurion array set and GeneChip Mapping 10K 2.0 arrays.

"The Centurion Array set eliminates the need for locus-specific PCR reactions and allows researchers to evaluate over 100,000 DNA polymorphisms using an innovative assay requiring only 500 nanograms of DNA for each sample," Steve McPhail, Expression Analysis' CEO, said in a statement.

The GeneChip Mapping 10K 2.0 arrays allow for the measurement of more than 10,000 genotypes in a single experiment and are cost comparable with microsatellite analysis, the company said.
