Epoch Licenses MGB Eclipse Probe System for Food Safety Testing

NEW YORK, Oct. 28 (GenomeWeb News) - Epoch Biosciences today said that its MGB Eclipse Probe System would be used in food safety testing products from BioControl Systems of Bellevue, Wash. - a new application area for the company's genetic analysis technology.

BioControl purchased a non-exclusive license to the MGB Eclipse technologies, and an exclusive license to specific probe sequences for the field of food safety testing, Epoch said.

Epoch said it would receive technology access fees, product sales from shipments of MGB Eclipse probes and primers to BioControl, and royalties on BioControl's sales of testing systems. Other financial terms were not disclosed.
