EMD Biosciences to Offer Reagents for TAP s Automated Protein Production System

NEW YORK, June 22 (GenomeWeb News) - EMD Biosciences will offer protein purification reagents for an automated protein production system from The Automation Partnership, the company said today.


Under the strategic partnership, EMD will combine its Novagen-brand cell culture, lysis, and affinity purification reagents with TAP's Piccolo system for the automated production of recombinant proteins.


EMD, based in Madison, Wis., belongs to Darmstadt, Germany-based Merck. The company operates as EMD Biosciences in North American and as Merck Biosciences elsewhere. TAP is headquartered in Cambridge, UK.
