EMBL to Open Chemical Genomics Facility

NEW YORK, March 17 (GenomeWeb News) -- The European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg, Germany, will hold opening ceremonies tomorrow for a new small-molecule screening facility created in collaboration with the German Cancer Research Center.

The Chemical Genomics Core Facility will provide scientists of both organizations with services that include screening, hit validation, and assay development on a high throughput scale, EMBL said in a statement.

Joe Lewis of EMBL is the director of the six-employee group.

EMBL now has seven core labs, including genomics and proteomics facilities.
