NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - DNA Genotek said last week that it has partnered with the Roswell Park Cancer Institute to collect DNA saliva samples that RPCI will store in its biorepository and use for breast cancer research.
DNA Genotek collected the samples at the Susan G. Komen Western New York Race for the Cure, which was held this weekend in Buffalo, NY.
The project marks the company's second so-called “Spit for the Cure” event, following a similar effort that it led in 2007 along with the Arkansas Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
