DNA 2.0 Inks R&D, Japanese Distribution Deal with MediBic

NEW YORK, Dec. 13 (GenomeWeb News) - DNA 2.0 has formed a collaboration with MediBic focused on protein engineering and distribution of gene synthesis in Japan, the company said today.


Under the deal, MediBic will work with DNA 2.0 in new product research and development, and will also be the sole Japanese distributor for the company's existing repository of synthesized genes.


DNA 2.0 added that the collaboration may be expanded to include internal projects, such as modification of existing bio products and the development of bio products with specialized properties.


Additional terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
