Dale Higgins, who shot the photo at DiaDexus on p. 20, is an awarding-winning photographer who has photographed hundreds of high-profile CEOs and executives for annual reports, advertising, and editorial. Dale received a BFA degree from Ohio University. He works in the San Francisco Bay area.

Trained initially as a molecular biologist, Frank White (Blunt End, p. 50) has moved over the past decade from doing lab research to bioinformatics work in a pharmaceutical company, then to the business side of the industry doing marketing and business development for a bioinformatics software company. He is currently an Alliance Program Manager at IBM Life Sciences in the Information Based Medicine area. He lives in the Philadelphia area and has pursued photography as a hobby for over 25 years.
