CytRx Subsidiary Araios Partners with 3rd Millennium on RNAi Informatics

NEW YORK, Nov. 21 (GenomeWeb News) - CytRx announced today that its subsidiary Araios, based in Worcester, Mass., will collaborate with 3rd Millennium to establish an informatics platform for RNAi-based drug development in the areas of type II diabetes and obesity.


CytRx scientists will use the system to generate target libraries for these two diseases. The company will also work with 3rd Millennium to build informatics infrastructure, virtual library construction, homology modeling, and virtual screening workflow for its small molecule discovery program.


Financial details of the collaboration were not disclosed.
