Compugen Agricultural Subsidiary Evogene to Close $2 Million Round

NEW YORK, Jan. 6-Evogene, the agricultural biotech subsidiary of Compugen, expects to close its first round of funding soon, Compugen said today.


The subsidiary expects the private placement to top out at about $2 million.


Evogene, which was officially launched in January 2002, uses Compugen technology to develop improved crops and plant strains that can produce valuable compounds.
