CombiMatrix Shares Jump 12 Percent on European Patent Award

NEW YORK, March 16 (GenomeWeb News) - Shares of CombiMatrix were up 12.4 percent, or $.24, at $2.18 in afternoon trading after parent Acacia announced that the European patent office had granted CombiMatrix a patent titled "self-assembling arrays" (EP1185363B1).

 

The patent was registered in Germany, France, Spain, Great Britain, and Italy, the company said in a statement.

 

A corresponding patent is pending in the US.
