Clinical Data Defines Distinct PGx, Cogenic and Diagnostic Units: Mar 1, 2006

NEW YORK, March 1, (GenomeWeb News) - Clinical Data announced today the division of its business into three units.

 

They are PGxHealth, Cogenics, and Vital Diagnostics.

 

The PGX Health division includes assets from newly acquired Genaissance to develop therapeutic diagnostics. The unit is developing CNS, cardiovascular, and oncology tests, the company said in a statement.

 

The Cogenics unit, which represents the combined operations and marketing infrastructure of Genaissance, Lark and Icoria to provide comprehensive pharmacogenomics and molecular services, is developing GLP-validated and research assays.

 

Vital Diagnostics, derived from the operations of Clinical Data, Vital and Electa Labs, is geared toward IVD services for customers in 100 countries.
