NEW TORK, Oct. 28 (GenomeWeb News) - Sun Microsystems today said that it has partnered with IT consulting firm CGI Group to offer utility computing for life science researchers in North America.
CGI said the agreement would allow it to offer pay-per-use pricing for Sun's network computing resources.
The new solution capability is already deployed at CGI's Life Sciences Solution Center (LS2C), a life science computing facility funded by Genome Quebec.
The companies did not disclose pricing information for the on-demand computing resources.
