Cepheid Wins US Patent for I-CORE Tech

NEW YORK, June 20 -Cepheid said today it had won a patent in the US for a reaction vessel to its I-CORE DNA amplification and detection technology.

 

The patent, No. 6,403,037, covers a technology that allows genetic material to be handled automatically. According to Cepheid, the vessel "can be filled with reaction fluid and sealed using conventional high-throughput pipetting equipment."
