Cepheid Q3 Revenues Up Amid Narrowed Net Loss

NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (GenomeWeb News) - Cepheid today reported a slight year-over-year increase in third-quarter revenues amid narrowed net losses.


The Sunnyvale, Calif., instrument and reagent company had revenues of $5.4 million for the third quarter, compared to $4.4 million for the third quarter of 2002.  Net loss narrowed to $3.9 million, from $5.8 million for the same period last year.


The company's R&D expenses totaled $4.0 million, compared to $4.5 million in the same period of last year.


As of September 30, Cepheid had $15.2 million in cash and cash equivalents.
