Cepheid to Make $5 Million Stock Offering

NEW YORK, Feb. 28 -- Cepheid has announced today a new $5 million offering of 1,360,000 shares of its common stock.

 

EHS Securities LLC acted as Cepheid's exclusive selling agent for this offering.

 

The company registered the offering under a May 29,2002 "universal shelf" registration statement, under which it is allowed to offer and sell up to $35 million of its equity, or debt securities.

 

In August 2002, the company made a $10 million offering of common stock under this registration statement.

 

Cepheid, of Sunnyvale, Calif., manufactures and markets the Smart Cycler DNA sequence detection instrument.
