NEW YORK, Aug. 17 (GenomeWeb News) – Caliper Life Sciences and Sigma-Aldrich have inked a collaboration to develop and co-market reagent kits for Caliper’s SciClone ALH 3000 liquid handling workstation, the companies said late Monday.

Under the agreement, the companies are optimizing and validating automation protocols for the SciClone workstation and Sigma-Aldrich biochemicals and reagent kits, including Sigma’s Extract-N-Amp Blood and Tissue kits for extraction and amplification of genomic DNA from blood and animal tissues, and the HIS-Select Integration Lysis and Purification plates for purifying recombinant proteins.
