Bruker Leads Decline in BCW Index

One week after reaching a 52-week high, shares in Bruker BioSciences dropped 13 percent for the week ended Tuesday. The firm led all 13 losing stocks in the Index. Beckman Coulter's stock was the only other issue in the Index to fall more than 5 percent for the tracking period. Harvard Bioscience, Molecular Devices, and Stratagene were the only three companies to post gains this week.

Overall, the Index dropped 2.13 percent for the week, compared with the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which declined 1 percent, the Nasdaq, which fell 1.5 percent, and the Nasdaq Biotech Index, which dropped 5.8 percent for the week.
