Bruker AXS Ties Up MAC Acquisition

NEW YORK, May 15 - Bruker AXS said today it has closed its acquisition of Japanese X-ray analysis firm MAC Sciences.


The deal, announced in mid-April, will give Bruker a slice of Japan's $150 million X-ray analysis pie. Bruker also promises that the acquisition will result in new products and "further penetration" of the Japanese life-science and advanced-materials markets.
