Bioscreen to Distribute Labcyte Systems in India

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Bioscreen Instruments will distribute Labcyte’s acoustic liquid transfer systems in India, Labcyte said today.

The distribution agreement will help “further broaden our existing user base in the pharmaceutical industry and the contract research organizations that service them,” Labcyte’s VP of Sales, Marketing, and Service, Stephen Bates, said in a statement.

Chennai, India-based Bioscreen will provide the Labcyte technology for compound management and high-throughput and secondary screening research, Bates said.

Bioscreen is a life sciences provider focused on providing drug discovery, genomics, and proteomics technologies.

Nick Samaras, Labcyte’s Asia-Pacific Managing Director, said that the firm's platform also may be used in areas such as imaging mass spectrometry, array formation, compound microencapsulation, particle production, proteomics research, and cell-based biology.
