NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Biomax Informatics said today that it will integrate a toxicogenomics database developed by the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory with its data-management platform.
Biomax said it will integrate MDI’s Comparative Toxicogenomics Database into its BioXM Knowledge Management Environment.
The CTD system includes information about cross-species interactions between genes, chemicals, and proteins that can be used to study disease susceptibility and diseases that are influenced by the environment.
Under the agreement, Biomax will offer the CTD as free content to its BioXM customers.
MDI, a non-profit based in Salisbury Cove, Maine, is focused on promoting research and education about marine organisms.
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
