Biomax Informatics Raises EUR2.25M in VC Funding

NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (GenomeWeb News) - Biomax Informatics has raised €2.25 million ($2.75 million) in venture capital funding, the Munich-based company said yesterday.


Investors included BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft, Ecos Venture Capital Beteiligungs AG, and S-UBG Bayern Gesellschaft  f r  Unternehmensbeteiligungen. There was no lead investor, according to Biomax CFO Hein Osenberg.


Biomax plans to use the funding to develop new products and to expand its business in the US. Osenberg told GenomeWeb News that the company wants to expand its marketing and sales activies in the US, working together with its independent US partner, Biomax Solutions, which is based in Falmouth, Mass.
