BioIT Alliance Adds UK Text-Mining Software Firm Linguamatics

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – British life sciences software company Linguamatics said today that it has joined the Microsoft BioIT Alliance.
 
The BioIT Alliance is a group of software and life sciences companies and organizations focused on accelerating the pace of drug discovery and development and advances in personalized medicine.
 
Cambridge-based Linguamatics’ I2E information extraction system is used to search large amounts of information, and includes search and text mining for facts, relationships, and data from scientific papers, news feeds, patents, and internal reports.
