Qiagen Added to the BCW Index; BD Dropped on Clontech Sale

This week marks the first roster change in BioCommerce Week's 10-month existence. Qiagen, a multi-platform molecular biology tools provider, competes with many of the players already covered by BioCommerce Week and has partnerships with others. The company has been very active in the molecular biology tools space and has made several moves this year to expand its product range and geographic reach (see table below). As such, the Dutch firm has been added to the Index.
