Bio-Rad Completes Purchase of MJ GeneWorks

NEW YORK, Aug. 18 (GenomeWeb News) - Bio-Rad has purchased MJ GeneWorks and its subsidiaries, including MJ Research, for approximately $32 million in cash, completing and deal that was initiated in early June, Bio-Rad said today.

Bio-Rad, based in Hercules, Calif., will also assume certain liabilities of the companies, including those related to patent infringement litigation.
