Berry & Associates Licenses Oligo Synth and Separation Tech from Fluorous Technology

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 (GenomeWeb News) - Berry & Associates has licensed fluorous oligonucleotide synthesis and separation technology from Fluorous Technology, the companies said yesterday.

Berry & Associates is using the technology in a new line of fluorous-adapted oligonucleotide synthesis products.

The fluorous technology works by placing a fluorous tag on an oligonucleotide using traditional solid-phase techniques, which allows tagged material to be separated from impurities, the companies said.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
