Berlex Expands License to Biotique s BLIS Platform

NEW YORK, Jan. 19 (GenomeWeb News) - Berlex Biosciences, the US affiliate of Schering, has expanded its license to Biotique Systems' BLIS platform, Biotique said today.


Berlex obtained a three-year license to the Biotique Local Integration System that provides worldwide access to Schering's research operations. Under a previous agreement, Berlex had licensed BLIS for its research site in Richmond, Calif.


Biotique, based in Emeryville, Calif., offers BLIS as a framework for biological data integration. Its customers include Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Monsanto, and Affymetrix.
