Benitec Settles Patent Suit Against GenScript

NEW YORK, Aug. 24 (GenomeWeb News) - Benitec said today that it has settled its patent infringement lawsuit against GenScript. GenScript has taken a global non-exclusive license to Benitec's DNA-directed RNAi technology as part of the settlement.

According to Benitec, the arrangement completely settles all claims the company asserted against GenScript in a March lawsuit. Specific terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Benitec had also sued Ambion and Nucleonics for infringing its US ddRNAi patent, but settled with Ambion earlier this month.
