Benitec Places Stock, Opens Share Purchase Plan

NEW YORK, Nov. 8 (GenomeWeb News) - Benitec said today that it has closed a stock placement worth Aus$3.75 million ($2.8 million).


According to the company, it will issue about 6.8 million of its shares at Aus$0.55 per share under the placement, which will be settled in two tranches expected this month.


Benitec also said that it has opened a share purchase plan to its shareholders, allowing for the purchase of up to $4,590 of the company's shares at Aus$0.55 per share. The offer is not open to shareholders in the US, the company noted.
