Beckman Coulter Stock Climbs 8 Percent on Positive Q3 Results, Deal Announcement

NEW YORK, Nov. 2 (GenomeWeb News) - Shares in Beckman Coulter were up 8 percent, or $3.94, at $53.44 in mid-afternoon trading after the company announced its third-quarter results and a multi-million-dollar deal this morning.

 

As GenomeWeb News reported earlier today, Beckman Coulter had a 2-percent increase in third-quarter revenues of $593.4 million and that international sales grew by 3.8 percent. However, net income fell to $36.2 million from $57.2 million year over year.

 

Separately today, Beckman signed a multi-million dollar deal with Consorta to provide the suburban Chicago based company its chemistry, immunodiagnostics, and automation product lines.
