Beckman Coulter, NPE to Integrate Cell-Based Assay Systems

NEW YORK, Aug. 11 (GenomeWeb News) - Beckman Coulter and NPE Systems have signed an agreement to integrate NPE's Quanta flow-based cellular analysis system with Beckman Coulter's Cell Lab cellular analysis platform, the companies said today.

 

Elias Caro, president of Beckman Coulter's Biomedical Research Division, said the exclusive licensing and development agreement would provide Beckman Coulter with "immediate entry" into the distributed testing segment of the flow cytometry market, which he called an "underserved" portion of the cellular analysis marketplace.

 

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
