BD Selects Adept as Key Robotic Supplier, Places $1.1M Order

NEW YORK, Dec. 7, (GenomeWeb News) - Becton Dickinson ordered $1.1 million worth of robots from Adept Technology to use with its ProbeTec molecular diagnostics system, Adept said today.

 

Adept will provide the Cobra s600 SCARA robots to be used in pipette-transfer applications in the BD Viper System. The robots reduce repetitive motions and errors introduced during pipetting in in vitro diagnostics applications.

 

Additional financial details were not disclosed.
